    Fire Rate

Do you guys use single shot, burst, or full auto?

And when you fire, do you fire as quick as you can, or controlled burst, or wide open?

I use single shot for mid-long range, with the 4x scope... it's like having a mini sniper rifle ^_^

but having the 4x scope kinda sucks when you are in closed areas, like inside a building or the alleys in the map with the market (bazaar?), in that case I switch to auto and shot from the hip if I know the area is hot ...but most of the times I walk around with my pistols, ready to spit friendship all over you, guys

Depends on the weapon of course, but my main assault weapon is the m16-3 so I generally run full auto, use controlled bursts. Rarely I just spray and pray (Bravo hallway on Grand Bazaar comes to mind). In a tight infantry map like Bazaar ill run the fm2000 as well, as its rate of fire is insane. Only bad thing about it is it goes through ammo QUICK. Ive been working on getting stars for the other weapons in the assualt kit so ive been using the M16-4 I think it is that has a two round burst, I prefer it for distance maps like Firestorm where im generally shooting from a long distance.

I only use the single option every once in a while with assult. Everything else is a auto. I tend to like the 4x more then anything.

alway full auto! ... really i don't really need to press V to change the fire rate. Just dont hold your left button on the mouse...

That's pretty much my way of thinking!

Since we are in Hardcore I don't switch Rate of fire at all. The reason is when I press V, I love all track of what kind of fire rate I have. So I ended up near a huge bunch of enemies with a single fire and was like "OMG PRESS V PRESS V PRESS V" but it's usually too late.

I'm always on full auto. But I treat it like a semi auto.

I lost track of fire rate one time. That was the last.

I'll fire full auto and walk the mouse down as I'm firing to keep on target.(Apache taught me that when we played DOD source.) Kinda hard to get used to but once you do it for a while it gets to be automatic. Depends on the distance too. Close quarters just aim at the crotch and fire, ends up at the neck area, and by that time he's done for anyway.

All except the 240. I cant control that one. And I havent shot it long enough to get a grip or something that will help with recoil.

M240B is such a weird gun. If you full auto past like 15 bullets, the bullets go AROUND your target. You have to shoot in 3-5 bursts. I usually just tap my mouse to be accurate.
