reserved slots can be done for a nominal fee maybe.
I've seen many servers that reserve the right to kick someone to make room for their people. And it states it on the scrolling information about the server when you log on. I've been kicked and replaced by clan members on other servers. Didnt bother me much. You just move on and find another one. Doesnt really offend them I dont think. There is a reason they play here. So they'll be back.
But personally I think Cain needs to look into it. I also thought it was good that they took care of their own. So if someone sees us taking care of our people it may motivate them to join here.
