TUCK! Haven't seen you in a while!
I thought I saw you in game the other night somethingTuck was the name.

Yeah, haven't been around much lately, Twinks. Got married and had some babies, so gaming time is rare.

And I'm oldtuck in the game. I'm a noob, so I'm usually the guy getting run over by the tank, or driving the wrong way in the hummer. I just need practice. I know with enough practice, I can be a damn good mediocre player.

BTW, I apologize to the all the CLRs in advance for my future stupid behavior in game. I'll try to stay out from behind your tank.

Hah, think i flew a transport once so far and crashed it at the hilltop. I just avoid flying all together...

BTW, i have a question. Where do I go to get experience? I've gone into a couple empty servers only to find that it won't start the game without "x" number of players. I assume other empty servers will allow you to at least hop in a jet and fly? What maps are best?

I don't want to take a heli or a jet in a competitive game when someone else could put it to better use. I need a way to practice. Any ideas?

Just come into the Cains lair and ignore anyone who says you suck.
I crash all the time and do almost nothing for my side with a jet. The other side likes when I die.
When the server is full you will die very quickly. If you want to gun team up with Brian and a couple of others on TS.

We do a start up with only 2 people so if you want to practice try around 7am and you should be able to practice. Of course you have to be on a map that has the jets/chopters.

I'm with golden... do it in a CLR game. We aren't competitive. I played against a squad a few nights ago in a Squad Rush, they were freakin competitive. And yes, Cain's was full at 64/64

I see people whining constantly about "where are you going, what are you doing!". Ignore them. I think Jasp was getting some lip from randomasshat1 about trying to learn the game.

I would be more than happy to have you crash a heli with me as your co-pilot.

I say try the jets if its busy.. just get shot down less and you don't have to worry about anyone being pissed since the jets really aren't that big of a part of the game.

Jet in golden lingo is to crash or a quicky taxi to a sniper thats annoying you.

Thanks, I love my family and my twins are precious. Incidentally, we call them "the twinks," a play off a texting typo. They'll be 2 next month.

I remember the UT days fondly. I haven't had as much fun in any game (or in any other server) since. As for BF3, I'll be able to play most nights after the babies go down for the night around 9. If you see me, please don't run me over.

Even though he's only two, my son's second favorite toy is my Xbox controller. I don't let him play with it often, but when I do, he carries it for hours, pointing it at the TV and mashing buttons. (His favorite toy is Lightning McQueen from the Cars movies). I have high hopes he will be gaming alongside his old dad someday.

Both my kids love banging on Daddy's expensive gaming keyboard. In fact, my gaming rig has been mostly usurped by them and is used mostly for playing the Elmo potty training DVD.

Everyone who wants to practice should just go ahead and do so. Like they say, ignore the ones telling you you're an idiot.

The one time I went into a squad rush server, I managed to find one that didn't have a clan scrimming as one of the four squads, and just started wiping the floor with the other three. The dudes on my squad would congregate near me a bit, but I won the round for them and walked away with the 2 ribbons I needed.

It's so great playing most of the time on Cain's, because you can both practice to your hearts desire and the regs will help you out and not care if you blow us up in a crash, and you are also playing against a high level of skill so you can mop up random non-clan guys.

invert your controls if your running kb and mouse.....its not hard twink you can do it. its just like flying in bf2 ...with out the crazy victory roles and stuff

So what's the scoop on joyticks? Anyone use one? Are they more trouble than they're worth? I wouldn't mind getting one if it works and it helps.
