Me and choppers...

So what's the scoop on joyticks? Anyone use one? Are they more trouble than they're worth? I wouldn't mind getting one if it works and it helps.

Joysticks don't work well at all right now, the support has yet to be added. Apparently it's made for consoles >_>

I fly with a joystick with no issues. Remapped my controls and done. Now if only the flight mechanics were like BF2's...

For good practice in choppers, you could practice at times like right now, when the server is having troubles getting full.

I haven't even tried to take off in an attack helo yet. I've got the type of luck where I hopped in a Viper the other day, switched to the gun seat to try to get the air ribbon, and while looking for a pilot sat there and watched some moron walk up, stop, pull out his pistol, line me up, and put a bullet in my head.

He then proceeded to take off with said helo, alone without a gunner.

That annoyed me.

I'd love to be on more and help the startup and such, but I'm working 2 jobs. One as a regular 9-5 and another as a concert photographer meaning that when I'm done at 5, I'm at a show for 7 then out by midnight, then need to send images to an editor asap that night, meaning 1-2am. Then I need to sleep.



So I just practice in the server, when I can.

Had a blast getting blown up yesterday, but I upped my chopper flying time for a single flight to over 10 seconds

BTW, i have a question. Where do I go to get experience? I've gone into a couple empty servers only to find that it won't start the game without "x" number of players

I still suck at jets and haven't really practiced those, but I'm at least semi ok with the chopper and don't nose dive it anymore. Plus, if you capture the points while in the chopper, you'll at least unlock the first set of stuff while practicing.

Without the insta karma, he'd just be an idiot.

I'm starting to notice 99% of the people that play this game are like this guy, but sadly they don't get the insta karma

Just got new video card a week ago, Limited time playing since then, but choppers are now FUN. Still nothing but flares, but I'm not an insta kill for all passengers.
Take it slow and easy, and I lowered my mouse DPS when flying.

Got my first HS missile kill last night in the jet... YAY.
The lock-on time is long. Finally slowed down to almost stalling to be able to get the lock on the other jet. Guess most people would use guns to kill the choppers, at least i do.

It probably takes longer because the other pilot has Stealth enabled on their jet, like I do. Increases survivability greatly!
