Ok, so we're in Firestorm.I'm trying to get the warehouse area. I'm layin on the corner of the building across the street from the loading dock with the semi in front. I pull out a nade, rare back and throw it at the building where the enemy is hiding. About the time I throw it one of my teammates jumped up and ran right across my path at 90deg. Nade hits him on the side of his body, bounces off and lands about 1 foot in front of my face.
I didnt even try to run.
Another time we are in Tehran and I'm on the street below the wall. I turn the corner and start up the street up the small hill to the next level. It's all paved street here. I get half way up when I see a nade rolling fairly fast down the hill toward me.
I couldnt get away fast enough.
Another one on Tehran, I'm stooped below one of the stairways to the upper level and I look as see a nade hopping down the stairs, " ploop, ploop, ploop. Bam.
Then on Seine, I was on one of the river roads and someone blew up a rather large tree. Tree then proceeded to fall on me, and pinned me in where I couldnt get out.
Then on Bazaar, I'm behind one of the rubble piles on the long streets peeking over. Fiery comes up benind me in the MAV and smacks me in the back pushing me over the hill and I proceeded to get my head blown off.
Then yesterday I had one positive go my way. I was on top of the warehouse on Firestorm. I hear a ruskie down below me by one of the back doors. I peek over the edge and there he sits. I ease off the side of the building right on top of him. He breaks my fall as I swing my knife and get his tags. Not all that dramatic but I would have liked to have been watchin that from a distance. If I wouldnt have landed on him I would have died from the fall. Those are tall buildings.
I'm sure you guys have moments that you laugh at.
Oh and the best one yesterday. Apache is sittin in one of the little side entranceways lookin down one of the long hallways on the Peak map. I spawn across from him in one of the indentions in the hallway. You know, one of the little side indentions where you temporarily stand before you proceed to get killed.
Anyway, I make a dash for the exit where Apache is perched, but he's blocking the door. I cant get out of the hallway. I'm stuck out in the hallway with no exit and no retreat, and there he sits. I'm exposed down the straight part ,facing the exit where Apache is sitting, trying to get out just waiting for the enemy to mop up with my head.
I scream, Apache get out of the way, all the while waiting for the bullet that I know is surely coming. He scoots over and I with great relief get in the little exit way. Very intense moment. Those of you that have fought in the hallway any at all know what I mean.
So picture this, you know how long one lives while in the hallway.
