And yet I bet when he sees the guys coming on the right or left side, he STILL gets shot before he can react!
It's basically the equivalent of 3 screens sitting on your desk.... When I first moved in with my fiance I did not have a place for my desk, so I hooked up my PC to the 42 inch TV to play BC2... I would say that there is some disadvantage to having to move your eyes and sometimes head from one side of the screen to the other....

I was thinking just that. The way the human eye works only allows it to focus in one area. Clearly though there has to be a sweet spot. Something that splits the difference between not too much real estate and yet big enough that details show up.
For instance, I wear contacts, One is for near sighted, one far.
Some people can't wear them, as they can't blend them together, or they have depth perception problems.

It doesn't matter. Every human eye can only focus on one place at a time. In your case your eyes have different focal lengths. I experience something similar. When ever I shoot (long guns or handguns) I keep both eyes open. It gives you a wider FOV. The trick is to train your brain to use one eye over the other. In my case I'm always using the right eye. In yours your switching.
HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
