Best/Worst B2K maps??

I don't hate any of them, however i do dislike Oman. I was never a fan of it in the first place.

I really wished they had added Mashtuur City or Dalian Planet instead.

people have yet to learn how to defend points and which points.

I had the south arm well covered with maybe 3-4 other guys and it took about 3/4 of the time to lose it.

Actually, this is half the problem with Wake. It's so damn old and overplayed that EVERYBODY knows how to defend it. Each iteration of Wake becomes harder for the U.S. team as a result. When the Russian team has their act together, you quickly find yourself doing what I did the first round at U.S. on the map: swimming across the lagoon to try to get behind them somewhere.

I haven't tried the new maps, as I just got home from workin a 4 day trip (as an aside, DUKE was stuck there about 12 hrs longer than I was so he will be weak when he plays tomorrow)...... I think we need an update of Special Forces......I'd love to See Ghost Town with new engine.

I'm disappointed in Wake Island. In BF2 it was my favorite map, but in BF3 the changes has made it less fun in my eyes.
I never liked Gulf of Oman, even in BF2. It was all about people trying to take the Hotel to use as a sniper nest.
Mashtuur City would have been a better choice. In the end I'd rather have them make new maps instead of completely remaking the whole list of BF2 maps. Actually, what would be nice is if we got 4 maps in every map pack; 3 new maps and 1 re-imagined BF2 map. That would be perfect in my eyes.

I would gladly pay $10 for 4 new maps every 2-3 months.

And they could be remakes if they'd like - though I would expand that to say ANY battlefield game map remake would be fine to me.

Sharqui and Karkand. I love defending the TV Station. Ask Golden.
I got 10 claymore kills defending the TV Station last night.

Karkand. I prefer ground only maps. Since they removed the stationary AA the jets and helos have a huge advantage. The Engies AA is next to worthless.

Stationary AA was worthless in BF2...

No - the stationary AA worked pretty good in BF2. But it's all been removed in BF3. So now you have to rely on the Stinger, which is not very good. Or the Javalin/SOFLAM combo, which works well, except you have to have both working together.

I really enjoy the building to building clearing/fighting you have to do in this map. I also enjoy that there's so much going on at any given time.

2: Sharqi
Same as above, but this gives more of a vertical dimension.

3: Oman
I enjoy this map. When you don't have 10 snipers on each team, it can get pretty intense. I also enjoy that the flags are just far enough apart that you have to travel alittle, making use of the terrain to move.

I just hate this map. I don't get why it has been remade for every battlefield game.
