...get the boot from Punkbuster if we use FXAA injection? I want to make the game to look, well, like an actual Battlefield game but not many people are sure about this.

I read some forums on the issue that says PB/VAC may flag it as a false positive. While it looks great, I would hold off until something definitive came out of PB about it.

It looks good, but I think it looks good already, and question the methods of all these before/after photos. Not sure it would be worth it.

Don't be paranoid. You will not be banned by PB. PB doesn't ban anyone anyways lol!

I remember when you used to be able to turn interpolation off in CS:S altogether... They banned this in league play.

I know its not a perfect example but this is something EVERYONE wanted to use so they decided to ban it.

RE: The screenshots - it would be nice to see what player and vehicle models look like. If the same color adjustment is applied to them as to the map, why would this be considered a problem?

Also, does it cause any sort of performance hit?

I tried it out and it looks amazing. It does apply it to vehicles as well, its a full screen-filter basically. I didn't log my FPS but I didn't notice a single notch of difference in performance:

HD6970
AMD Phenom II 6x 3.3Ghz
8Gb GDDR3 G-Skill

(Max settings with full FXAA)

If you do get a performance change, the injFX_Settings.h is the file you want to look into as you can turn off FXAA while still keeping the color changes and various other options. The only thing I would think would cause issue is the apparent fact you can adjust the contrast of the game. As you could imagine, this might create an incredible advantage for some people.

I installed the FXAA as mentioned in my above post, and found that while the game looks exceptional, I am having a harder time seeing things in some maps. Bazaar and Noshar Canals are the two I found to have the hardest time seeing things. Due to the "mist" in the air in some areas

Actually, the impact between running 8x AA is higher than running FXAA... and FXAA looks better imho.

I shut my AA off entirely. I took a screenshot with my AA off, and I kid you not, it looks like I was running 16x AA.
