We have two levels of anti-cheats running now. One of our anti-cheats last week was identifying cheaters but not banning them, it is fixed now, and will ban cheaters pretty quickly before they get to 104-2....

We also ban for really extreme profanity and racial slurs, and it is working quite well.

Last week our crashing started to ease up a bit and we limped through two nights with players.

It seems the most extreme cheating occur between midnight and 7AM so hopefully our anti-cheats will handle them better now, since we almost never have admins present at that time.

Also, Not that I use profanity much, but out of curiosity, are the profanity bans permanent or temporary?

Cain.... is the swear filter's configuration file editable? I am just wondering, because 2 of the offensive ones that get used often aren't in there:

1. The D-word that describes a device used to flush a part of female anatomy...

2. The F-word used to describe a cigarette in the UK, a bundle of sticks, or a specific type of individual...

Both of these words have various short and long iterations. We have a chat server at work that has a swear filter on it and I have quite an extensive CFG file for it with a TON of words if you would want me to send it.

I don't think the first is horrible, but it could be offensive to the ladies that play at Cain's... As for the second, I absolutely hate that word... Also, it often gets thrown around second-nature by idiots when in some ways it is as bad as the c-word which shall not be named... My Dad was sponsored through AA by someone of an alternate persuasion and it downright saved his life... He is a Quaker and a pacifist, but if he heard someone utter that word I think he would come to blows...

BTW: Your swear filter definitely works perfectly for the other words... I was circling around construction on Oman, opened up one 2 guys facing away from me at a distance between 2 buildings, and a team mate ran in among them and died by my rounds. I apologized immediately but he went off on me, called me a c-word, and was banned... I only wish I had tk'ed him on purpose..

Well I am guessing that in game no one there is giving advice on female personal hygiene or asking for a cigarette of bundle of sticks so I think it is clear to say that they are being used ina dergoatory way so IMO they should be added, especially the latter!

lol :P EA/origin wouldn't let me create an account with douche in it and Youalldoit is my username while on steam it's douche lord

It would be quite funny if nobody could say my name in game.. feels I missed a chance to have some fun!
