DOD:S!!!!!! That was one of the best games teamwork wise since I can remember. If we could get that up i would play that non stop.

In my eyes this game died off due to the amount of time it takes to finish. It is so in depth that people cant join for 10 min and feel like they are getting any where. I do enjoy playing slower paced games but in the past faster games (DOD:S, CSS, COD, UT) have been longer lasting and quick to get back into the action. I stick around because of that for most games even if they are more basic.

Well I can understand your decision Cain. I actually understand why there's a lack of people on and now that I'm in college and realising how much work is required, I know that most people aren't on BF3 because of that. Once Spring Break comes around, I'm sure you'll see an influx of people. It's just a slow season right now.

IMO the best bet would be to go for CS: Global Offensive and hope it isn't as unstable as BF3.. oh wait it's gonna be on steam AND it's made by valve.. OBVIOUSLY it'll work just fine!

It's been mentionned in the thread but BF3 has been much too unstable, that includes: server crashes, ingame bugs such as the bad luck deaths, even the classes/weapons had problems such as the flashlights, also origin, origin and maybe origin too was a problem.

Oh trust me I COULD list more problems.. but I think we all know them.

CLRs obviously tried to keep it going while having fun, with ridiculously dedicated startup crews (we really owe them, I haven't been able to do that, I don't even have the patience for that to begin with, so my thanks go to them)

The community didn't do anything wrong, the game isn't very community-oriented.. even with their over-promoted "battlelog" system. TF2 (which never ever crashed on me) was far superior for that, gameplay-wise, for example: I could hunt Oga all I wanted due to the small (quality oriented) sized maps.. that stinky heavy! Again, BF3 is unstable, when everything you try to do is ruined by little annoying things, you give up.

BF3 just doesn't seem to make the cut, unless you guys want a sterilized pub-like server with 2000 tickets called "SUPER SUPER 24/7 METRO NO EXPLOSIVES cains lair" that way it's always gonna be full, right xD?

I second that statement ^.
playing 24/7 metro conquest is quite FUN! just the TK limit should be extended to 6-7 tks before a kick. cause the firefights are pretty intense.. also disabling explosives is a MUST.. someway to KICK you if you use the M320 or MLAW,etc..

I'm not in favor of this kind of thing though lol.. I was pretty much making fun of those metro servers, although it is quite easy to get results with those, it's sort of.. filthy, isn't it?

iunno.. i usually get bored of BF3 pretty quick.. so i jump on these 24/7 metro servers to get my quick thirst and go jump on another game.

BF2 again!

Guys I think I am officially the biggest BF2 fan here, I still play SP when stuck offshore but it will never work. There are maybe 250-300 BF2 servers left and apart from a small number they are full of idiots. That is what you would have to deal with.

To have a CLR BF2 reunion weekend would be a blast (if I was home to get a connection) but in reality it should stay in the past of being probably the best Battlefield game in the series.

some of these things people bitch about I can live with. Everything but crashes.

Weapons are balanced enough for me and well a little bad design for bad luck deaths I can live with.
I play to have fun with people, the game is not as important.

what i think 'killed' it was no real presence of admin on the server and just a lack of a good startup crew.
