The joystick automatically sets your hovering level, you don't fall down, you don't fly up. You can hover without pressing a button. It makes it easier to turn, it makes it easier to dodge, it makes it easier to do everything. When you are using a joystick, you are abusing an exploit in Dice's code that allows for perfect flight when Mouse and keyboard will let you down and give you less maneuverability.

Just like people that use the USAS, it is allowed, but you are a cheap player for using it. Some people don't understand that and need that extra crutch to get a kill. It's martyrdom all over again.

I don't know what game you were playing with a joystick but it wasn't BF3. There isn't any hover crap just by using a joystick.

You're suppose to play it with a joy stick anyway, it is an aircraft. It's not an exploit.

There is no "auto hover" in BF3. flying in BF3 was designed more for an XBOX controller than a joystick, so you can't just set a thrust level and leave it.

If you are in the air in a helicopter, and then you drop it, it will roll back to set axis 0--- hover.

or don't be a cheap ass and buy one. I don't have a joystick and i use my controller and can pull that stuff off easy, Its just learning the mechanics.
