They really need to fix tanks. 5 shells is far too much of a nerf--especially since most people won't get close to using a portion of the old allotment anyway before dying.
I can't even kill an enemy tank if we're close to head on with the shells on hand if they have anyone just step up and pop a few repairs on it. Without splash I can't kill the repairer, and you only do about 22 damage on a front flank shot. Just a slight repair or a single miss empties my shells before I can blow up the other tank.
Even a rear flank shot is only doing about 30 damage. I haven't been able to get around for a true rear shot on this map yet, but I figure if lucky that'll do 40 or 50. So they're harder to kill in tank v. tank, and you don't get enough ammo to do it. Their anti-infantry abilities are by far the weakest of any BF game out of the gate. All in all tanks are close to useless as they stand right now.
They also may need to fix saving loadouts. I've had to set the tank loadout at least twice now, same loadout, after closing out the game.
Anyone know offhand where the best beta feedback site is? I want to comment on tanks this week.
