Why would you ever install the 32bit version of Win7? lol.

At least the full game comes with a 32bit version for you.

When I built this rig it was still Vista. When I upgraded OS there was still some concern about 64-bit drivers, so I stuck with 32-bit. Hind sight.....

Hehe. Make sure you get 64bit installed before the game is released.

When I bought Win7, I bought a 3-license pack with my daughter. I kept the 32-bit DVD and then took the 64-bit DVD. I'm trying to get her to make me a copy of the 64-bit DVD. But getting my younger daughter to do anything is like pulling teeth.

Download a copy and then use your key to register it? I've known plenty of people that have done this after losing the disc.

I'm about 25% into the green area. Could probably use a bit more ram, I'm just at 6. And could probably do better with a crossfire setup with the 6970 that I have. But I can play the game fairly well. CPU is at 4.0 so it didnt really read that just put a "!" . Dont know what thats about.

Funny it says that Windows 8 will make it faster... I think just for that I will bench the game in linux and upload the differenced to youtube.

In actuality, I would upgrade to Windows 8 since there are programs to bring back the start menu, and pretty much make it w7, but it's just too damn expensive. Why pay so much for th OS when a $125 laptop comes with it?

There is one advantage to Win8, although I don't know if BF4 will take advantage of it. The latest version of DirectX will only be available for Win 8.1

hmmm, didn't know that... I plan on upgrading to Win8 soon as I have found many free programs that basically re-theme it to be more classical, by adding start menu etc. I just want to be able to get rid of those sill ystupid things called tiles adn the menu that they have
