Battlefield 4 Launch Stability Update


The launch of Battlefield 4 is in full swing and the majority of our fans are having a good time. We’ve noticed that some players on PC are experiencing crashes, something that we understand can be frustrating. Rest assured that we are working to address these issues.

If you’re having problems, please make sure to follow these steps:
-Make a clean install of PunkBuster by removing your original install and re-download the client.
-Repair the Battlefield 4 installation by right-clicking on your game inside of the Origin client.
-Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Note that the recent issue where players that were using AMD cards on Windows 8 would get a red screen has been fixed with the recent AMD graphics cards driver update.

Also note that we are aware of the issue of players not being able to join a queue for game servers. We hope to resolve this issue resolved.

Game was worse for me tonight than yesterday. Gave up after 2 crashes in 15 min.

I'm hearing nothing but bad things about this last update... I hope I'm not effected. Who am I kidding--- it ALWAYS happens to me.

The biggest issue is server side lag. Once rubber banding starts, you know there's something wrong server side, and eventually the server crashes or you crash. The gameplay during that time is significantly diminished as you can't really fly without the screen jittering, even while doing infrantry, the lag/jittering gets really annoying.

Hopefully this gets worked out soon, it's pretty bad as it stands.
