LOL I mentioned this to Rand yesterday and he agreed. I think the game selectively crashes. If you play your worst every single round, I bet the game will never crash for you again.
On the bright side, I was able to get thrill of being promoted to level 11 three times.
This happens to me every time I get promoted.

Yep, every round I'm doing terribly or the team is terrible... server doesn't crash.
When it does crash is random it seems. No particular map, but evidence is pointing towards larger maps being at issue. I have yet to see Obliteration, Domination, Rush being problematic. Hopefully DICE fixes this soon.
It really is true. I was running with a great squad on Paracel just now, with the Boat of Doom. I was something like 30-3 with about 8 vehicles destroyed, opened all the boat unlocks, got a service star, lots of ribbons. Crash. I have no idea if any of that will save.
At least the squad should get a win and some good ribbons out of it. Maybe ace squad even without me in the final count.
It was fairly good until the storm started up. It was a bit choppy (literally and figuratively, since the waves go nuts), but nothing too strenuous. I went into a client-side crash with one of those repeated loud noise effects and frozen screen. Nothing was remotely bad enough to make me think I was close to a crash.
I was actually 28-3. It recorded (maybe they fixed something). I had top accuracy, so that wasn't lagged at all.
It played smoothly for me the whole map.
Rand was piloting the boat and bam he was just gone.
