Well... I think China Rising was already baked into the whole mix before the first copy of BF4 was sold. I'm guessing there wasn't any practical advantage to delaying it. It won't add to their profit.

They "never" fixed VOIP in the previous game. So, not sure what they mean when they say "fix".

It means stall, or stalling. Stalling til BF5 is ready.

You would think that by now they would know how to release a game fit for purpose.

Come on guys. We all know why they do it, because they CAN. How many of us bitched about EA and Dice on BF3, MOH, 2142, etc, etc. A lot of us swore each time to never buy from EA again. And yet, here we are, buying BF4 and bitching about how EA sucks. Nothing has changed! They can get away with poor launches because they KNOW we will buy it anyway.
