    Issues with BF4?

Can anyone give me a list of the issues/glitches/problems (major or minor) that people are running into with BF4? I might change my mind on not buying it but from the little that I have looked into the game it seems worry some. Thanks!

      There are issues,
      Rubber Band effect - netcode?
      Random Crashes
      Sound Stutter lockup
Weapon balance - but isn't that an issue in every game ever!

But for all the issues, it's still a really good game.
      VOIP works!
      Graphics are really good.
Server Browser works! - that has been a thorn in their side forever.

        MAJOR issues:

Server instability for all servers. This one is actually, very slowly, getting better.

Client-side crashes. Expect to crash at least once every other round on average.

Netcode--especially with hit registration. You will be killed by guys you pour 30 bullets into, firing first, and watch them walk off with 100% health. You will be killed by guys that look like they're facing 70 degrees away from you. You will encounter--far more than any other game ever--the annoying situation where you and the guy you're shooting both die to each other at the same time.

Sound lockup. Maybe related to client-side crashes, maybe a different cause. Most client crashes simply dump you out of game.

The one-hit kill bugs still haven't been fixed, and damage registration is spotty at best in or out of vehicles. You will die from one hit to the head where it should take at least 2. I'll get hit out of nowhere while tanking with a missile from something--jet, vehicle, guy--in the same spot I get hit a dozen times a day and it'll suddenly decide to do 75 damage instead of 40 or 50 or whatever the best shots at the same spot and from the same angle usually do.

        MINOR:

This game will frustrate the holy hell out of you due to the above.

Glitching--still happens, much less so than before. Most of the major problems like people getting stuck under the map but able to shoot are seemingly fixed.

MASSIVE lag bouts on certain maps during certain activities. Paracel Storm gets pretty bad during the storm levelution event. The one with the Dam can get pretty choppy, as can the utterly massive Golmud Railway map. Siege of Shanghai lags after the building collapses for some.

Then you will find your own pet peeves. I personally dislike the COD-inspired bits of the game, like a billion different types of minor scoring events that you can rack up. Depending on how you kill something you may not even see who you've killed because you're flooded with 6 or 8 scoring messages at the same time. I even managed to get a healing bonus yesterday while sitting--as an engineer--in a tank. How the hell did I heal someone?

I dislike the tendency for people to get on roof tops and snipe/chute from them all game--I can't fly well, ground vehicles can't reach them, mortars need to be set in specific spots because many locations can't get to them, and some folks that can fly well don't seem to care about these guys. They're a massive headache when they're successfully lodged, because they can chute to almost every flag on the map and they usually have 2-8 snipers plinking away. The converse side is sometimes your team is up there, and they're not doing squat to help you out so you lose by 300 points.

        SUMMARY

You'll have to make your own call. Some people like this game more than others and put up with more as a result. I can have fun rounds especially with CLR squads, but to me it's utterly unacceptable that anyone put out a AAA release with this many problems, and even more unacceptable that the majority of problems actually visible to the players still haven't been fixed this far into release with what they claim is an all-hands-on-deck approach.

It's so bad in my opinion that DICE needs to offer everyone who pre-ordered a partial refund.

From my point of view it is crashing every now and then, though I have gone through several hours of play without a crash. I haven't had problems with the sound for a while. Then again we haven't had those maps around with the biggest problems.
Server crashes are ALOT less and Voip can make it a lot more fun the BF3.

DO NOT GET IT. You have been warned. And that's coming from me, I forgive a lot of issues if the game was good, but it is not worth it at all. I've stopped playing it unless I am SERIOUSLY bored. I've put in 30 hours the first week, and 40 hours combined the 3 weeks after that. It's just so bad (Not even counting the bugs/crashes/issues.)

Get it when it hits 20 dollars or less.

Yet you played BF3 for a long ass time. I didn't like it very much for some reason.

All the complaints I have been hearing I am happy I did not wind up buying it. Sad, because it had so much potential.

Anyone knows if they refund purchases on Origin? I would be really happy if I got a refund. I'd feel less stupid.

I don't know about Origin. I have gotten a refund on Steam before.

If you played it for an hour and didn't like it ... maybe. You played for 70 hrs. I doubt it.

Origin / EA does refund, but it has to be within like a 24-48 hr period. They call it a testing period of the game.

I seen people complain about their refund service.

For me the game crashes occasionally, but not nearly as much as Rand describes. Some nights it won't crash at all, others a few times. Usually the game crashes on the loading screen, but it does occasionally crash inside a round.

I experience occasional rubber banding, though it is usually minor. Occasionally it will get bad and multiple people I am playing with will notice it.

The one hit kill bug is a major annoyance for me. It was supposedly fixed, but I don't think it is.

Overall, I really enjoy the game despite the occasional crashes. IMO it is by far the best Battlefield game since 2142, possibly BF2.
