-Fix for terrain flickering when using SLI/CrossFire setup
-Fix for three of the top crash issues on the PC platform
-Fix for case when soldier can die with 1 HP instead of 0
-Fix for the issue where the revive UI could be permanently shown after accepting a revive

New patch SUCKS! I've never had lag before, this morning it is pause after pause after pause. Horrible game play.
    A change of Pace.

Just played with no issues at all. Are you sure this is lag, Paceman? Or graphics stutter?

It was a lot of stuttering. But until today, I've had zero video stuttering. I've not updated drivers.

The only thing that has changed is that I changed from a sound card to onboard sound because of garbled music play back. But I played last night with that change and I had no issues.

Verified it was not the Lair server. Played 2 mins on another server and same issue.

So either it's the new patch, or the sound card change. Which did not show up last night. But just remembered that the mic was not working last night. I corrected that problem, so there is the off chance that it is still the onboard sound causing the problem.

I'd try switching back to the sound card first. Which one is it? Then I'd try graphics driver (newest first then older sets), and finally punkbuster and direct x updates.

I have a Rocketfish 7.1. It worked well, until I went to play music. All the music sounds muddy. Fades in and out. I tried Winamp and itunes, both sound horrible. Onboard sound, music sounds great.

Think first thing I will try is to just disable both sound cards. Then I can tell if it is a sound card issue or not.

Wow - playing without sound is really weird.

Okay - 2 rounds without sound - no stutters.

So - onboard sound with BF4 = no go.

Going to reinstall the Rocketfish card and just work with the music issues.

Seems to be unique to you Pace, especially regarding your sound issues.

Otherwise, still no patch for a bug which is ridiculously ground breaking. I mean, just dumb, it was even made public recently.

Finally got that worked out. BF4 plays great with using the Rocketfish sound card. Doesn't play with the onboard sound.

I also figured out the issue with the music. Usually I only install drivers, not all the silly utilities that come with the card. EXCEPT in this case I found that the card defaults to 7.1 surround mode and that if you only have 2 speakers you have to use the utility to set it to 2.1 mode. Now the game plays great and my music sounds correct also.

Which onboard sound it is? Have you tried different drivers. I'm an onboard user and things are fine.

I've never actually heard of this Rocketfish before lol.

My Asrock board uses Reltek (I think that is the right spelling). I used the drivers on DVD provided. I think I may even have tried find more recent drivers. I just think that with my video jacked up to Ultra everything, there isn't enough processor left over to drive the sound and video at the same time.
