Try some of the newest Realtek driver again and see what happens if you feel the sound quality is better.

Pretty sure CPU duties don't work that when it comes to onboard devices.

Every time Dice updates the game AMD has to go and fix it to work with Crossfire. I used just one card out of an Crossfire setup because of all the flickering and such with the textures. Since the latest drivers come out it's smokin on Ultra with 4xAA and MSOA on high @ 45-60 fps. So the latest AMD drivers work well.

On the sound issue. I stopped using sound cards bout 10 - 12 years ago after the onboard sound had been improved. Just one other thing that you dont have to worry about installing if you dont have to . I have Realtek onboard on this ASUS board with a Plantronics wireless headset and it rocks pretty good. True surround and quality is great. Wont ever go back to the tethered headsets again. I can go to the fridge, bathroom, most anywhere in the house and still hear whats going on in TS.

I have the Logitech's G930. Wireless, similar headset.

The only thing, is if you use voice activated, you've got to be REALLY careful that you mute your mic when you walk away to do something. Like make use of the restroom.

'specially if you're particularly gassy at the time...

Not that I have had such issues...

"If I had wanted to show off, I would have been a porn star."

                LOL

Yes, the Logitech 930's are amazing. My GF got me them two or three years ago, take care of them, and they'll last. I charge them up all the time, maybe go wireless 75% of the time, love em.

Cain, in answer to your question.....Plantronics Audio 995

They last about 6- 8 hours after you get them conditioned. And the top of the headpiece is cushioned. They are kinda flimsy but I've had 2 pair. Bought the second one because charger connection broke on the first one but I soldered it back in place so it still works. The second one, I glued the charger connection from the inside to reinforce it just in case. The connection is of a trapezoid shape not rounded. Not really a fan of that but it is what it is. I also put Gorilla tape on the extension areas after I set it for the size of my pin head. Just in case. Just kinda beefed them up a bit cause I use them a lot and I'm pretty rough on stuff.

Can find em for about $45-60 depends on where you look. But I'll never own another wired headset after I used these for the last 5 years. And BF4 sounds good.So does music

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
