You also forget that in HC there is no kill cam. So you can't find the sniper. While I dislike the kill cam idea it does keep a limit on snipers because of revenge killings. -

I haven't played hardcore BF4. Are the tags missing for friends vs. enemies? Do mines/claymores kill friendlies?

Yes you can team kill, Yes all mines will hurt everyone, There are no arrows when spotted other then showing in the full map, There is no kill cam,Comment
