I wish I had been into FPS in the BF2 days. 2142 was my first one and that's where I found the Lair. Maybe 2143 isn't too far off. There's too many Easter eggs to have it just be smoke.

Star Wars version will come out before it. Lets see how that goes. At least they don't have to be realistic with the weapons and fire rates ect.
Personally I think that is what kills part of it. You can't just make the gun shoot like you want to intend it to be like. You have to conform to real world specifics. Personally I think that is why 2142 was so well balanced. They didn't have to follow any normal things and just put things in that worked.
I will never forget when Cain switched from BF2 to DOD Source. BA jumps off a roof and hits P repeatedly trying to get his parachute to deploy. It would have worked if DOD had parachutes. Cain and I laughed and laughed when it happened.

I have been a loyal follower for a long time.
Sadly, I didn't get to enjoy the UT frenzy, but the fun afterward.
I have some big car repairs this week, but as always, I'll gladly donate when I can, even if I can't play.
It's all about Cain's Lair..
Well it all comes down to my memories of the people I have played with, not so much the game itself. There were a lot more of the older crowd playing back then as well as this last year in my life has cramped my game time. I also left out TF2, that was a blast to play and would be number 4.
TF2 remains awesome. It's the only shooter I find myself going back to a couple of times a year for new content or special events like the Halloween events. I still think we didn't give it quite enough time to catch on with CLRs.
I've been Alpha and will be Beta testing the Delta Force game. It's been really getting good reviews! Definitely a good Battlefield feel to it like the...
