I believe this hasn't been found yet, no one has told me about it.

OK, Found a fix for the in game voip - (Tested)

Look at your gamesettings file - 10 Lines down, you should see this:


VoipRecieveVolume=1.000000

Recieve is an Americanisation, I believe, and Dice are from Sweden, so they use British English. Therefore, this Recieve is spelt incorrectly, so change it to this -

VoipReceiveVolume=1.000000

This works great, I hope we can get the PC people using the in game voip now

The incorrect spelling of Receive stops you from hearing people using VOIP.

If it doesn't work, it may have something to do with your home country or something to do with where you bought it from - Not sure at all, but Receive works (We tested with an American) and it's great.

This fix has been out for a while. It does work, now once you change it it will work for 1 round then the game updates and changes the gamesettings.ini file back. The way around this is when you save the file change it to read only and that will make the changes stand.

If you don't know how to make it read only, go to properties on the file and tick read only.

We talked about this in back in March, sorry.

I've kept it implemented even though some of the latest patches have supposedly addressed it. I currently have the following in my ini file:

VoipRecieveVolume=0.990000
VoipReceiveVolume=0.990000

Good advice for anybody who still cannot hear any VOIP.

My biggest remaining problem is an inability to broadcast more than static. Also, it would be nice if VOIP didn't degrade into garble whenever the lag increases. I should talk to somebody about that. But I can't.

Even when it works it will degrade to garble as the game goes on and over time you just don't use it.

Here is what I noticed. I listen to apache fine when were the only ones on our squad. Dennis joins, and both of them start sounding like R2D2. I think VOIP only works with one person in a squad. As in, squad leaders can only talk? I don't know.

On my end when I hear people talk it sounds like the DTC01 voice synthesizer like the one Stephen Hawking use but from time to time, the voice completely breaks up

I heard her a couple of times. She might have changed something recently.

We were doing fine last night with full group, at least I heard and could be heard clearly by Apache.

Then suddenly VOIP stopped working all together.

I hear people fine. And people used to hear me, suddenly no one hears me. I know my mic works as I use in iRacing just fine.



Could that be by design?

Yesterday it worked fine for a moment. Don't ask me why, but now works and I haven't changed anything.
