KDR Important?

I was just wondering how many people care about Kill/Death Ratio in the game. I used to obsess over it in BF2 and 2142, but over the years I care less and less. I think I have realized that I am not that good, so why worry about it... Now I concentrate more on helping the team succeed and getting the points for my next unlock. If I happen to get a decent KDR for the night, then cool. My current KDR is only 0.52.

EDIT: this may also be part of the reason I prefer objective-based game types over deathmatch...

For me what matters is how the team is doing. Some lone wolf camping a spot to get K/D up will rarely do things like grab a kit from a fallen medic to revive him or leave his spot to actually set a charge. The guy who picks up my kit and paddles me back into life or takes the time to run across the road to drop an ammo pack will get more respect then the guy with high KD ratio.

I think a majority of CLR's enjoy team accomplishments and ensuring everyone is having fun more than focusing on their K/D ratio.

In conquest K/D is very important, you are not helping the team when you go 22/30, However it certainly is not the most important thing to worry about in any of the game modes.

I do care. I just don't seem to get past 1.71. I sacrifice my KDR playing Cain's server though, it's more about having fun with you guys than KDR.

I don't care at all. And from what i can tell the only people who do care are 100% snipers that don't really help their team.

I don't watch the K/D. However, in some rounds I die too easily. If I'm on the attacking team in Rush, dying uses one of our counts each time I die. So, then I try to be more careful and make it worthwhile.

Mines around 1.4 but unlike phant i will revive people and plant charges. I dont really care about kdr though because it does little to show how good you are.

LOL, you play medic it's kinda sad you don't have 2.0 ratio... It's 2 bullets for God's sake.
