well even if the game goes away what about the new games that we will most likely adopt like CoD Blk ops......or other FPS titles.....im saying the 50 slot vent server should be enough to house multiple games once a "game transition" takes place then it would be used for the most played game.

We just use in-game VOIP, for those games where the developers actually realize how important voice is. Unlike some developers...

Exactly most games actually have a working VoIP but since BFBC2 VoIP is so bad I figured a 35 slot server would help fix that.

No problem on the offer, it is really appreciated. It was just easy for me to go ahead and pass the admin passwords to our fellow admins here.

We didn't hear you if we were in there. You have to make sure you double click the channel we're in or we can't hear you.

lol, I hear people calling me but non of them were in my squad. Dont want to give out my plan of attack to spy's in the area lol

actually, I dont know which key to press. I need a 2nd monitor cause alt tab is to much of a hassle to toggle back and forth screens just so I can see who was talking to me. There should be a rule; If a player is doing nothing and standing there like a idot, it means hes in Ventrilo so dont kill him

LOL! Same rule for admins should also apply.

There's an overlay in the Settings that should work so you can see who is talking while in game. I haven't tried it yet and there does seem to be some issues with Vista/nVidia chipset.

i havent fully found out how to get it work but when i do ill post a tutorial on howto....any other questions i can answer also about vent

Also, before I forget, it should go without saying, BUT please use the server for Cain's BF BC2 server.
The vent server is a 35 slot server and will support a full BFBC2 server with 3 extra slots.
The main thing I wanted was enough slots for everyone in the BC2 server to be able to connect.

Too bad I didn't get here sooner. I used vent exclusively for the longest time, but bought a TS3 because it was a better deal, and man do I love it.

I especially think the lair could benefit because of the unique admin features. It's easy to dole out channel admin vs server admin, so if people are misbehaving in a public channel, any admin there could address it. I personally have always found vent annoying to use, the quality awful, and layout revolting. Honestly it's been 2 years and I only know how to change my name, the server, and the push to talk key. TS3 I had to look up giving admin but did everything else on intuition.

Thank you DB for the Vent Server. It was extremely fun last night. Skud and Sir Psycho Sexy were hilarious last night. Everyone needs to join when in game.

Thanks DB, it was much more fun playing with the vent server even for the short amount of time that I was able to play. There were many CLRs on server but not on Vent so please feel free to join up.
