Getting kicked for flying the heli

Hi, I've recently started frequenting your server because of the great map rotation. My clan mates and I operate heli crews and I am usually the pilot. The problem is that when I am dropping in squad members, the game sometimes likes to eat them in the rotor blades, resulting in tks for me. It also sucks when a whole heli of squad members goes down when one guy jumps and I, the pilot, get killed for tking him. I have been kicked / temp banned twice for this. I know that this is no fault of your server, but I absolutely do not want to get from the server for this. I don't know if there is anything you guys can do about it, but I just wanted to bring it up.

    Motto,

Thanks for playing with us and for stopping by the forums.

The server does kick for excessive TKing since there are a good number of jerks that do it to ruin everyone's fun. Unfortunately it doesn't discern between intentional and non-intentional TK's. But we need to keep it in place.

When it happens, just rejoin and get on with your game....maybe staying on foot the next time!!

      Thanks for having me.

I would love to rejoin, but I am getting temp banned for 12hrs (I think). It really would not bug me at all if it were just a kick. I do understand the reason for kicking. I was just hoping to not get banned.

The TK ban is supposed to be for just the round you are presently playing. You should be able to rejoin at the start of the next round. Check this and let us know if you can rejoin at the start of the next round.

A person went -5000 a few days back by blowing up his own mComs. I guess it doesn't kick all the jerks.

Happened to me yesterday too. I turned my teammates into a fine mist with the rotor blades when they jumped. The ban is a temp one i think just for the end of the round.

Yeah, I'm not sure how that works? Saw one a while back with -950 for teamkills...and yet, as you or I or Motto have said, one bad move, half the time from teammates, can get a chopper pilot booted. The other day I stopped flying for a bit because on two separate flights I got three teamkills from guys bailing and a lot of the time I fly low so if a lock on happens I and crew have a better chance to make it do ground. Also have gotten tks and been tks for jumping off the back of a moving quad...somehow it hit me.

Anyway, Motto, keep playing: glad you are here! I know that you can't always control who is in your chopper, but try to get your buds at least to jump only when bird is going up or hovering. And hopefully others will read this and try the same...though in the end it seems more to be a problem with the game than people's judgment. And if that fails, have someone else fly until the next round.

Yeah, they need to get the issue of being "TKed" when jumping from the Helo fixed. I was on the receiving end the other night. Jumped out of the helo, died, pilot was charged with a TK. Sux for both of us.

I think the heli has a broken hurt model (that will never be fixed).

Sunday, I jumped toward a hovering heli, but didn't hit E fast enough. Apparently the heli has a bug zapper field because I instantly died. Of course, that "TK" killed the pilot. Both our spirits watched the heli quietly settle back to the ground.

im quite sure i read in the bfbc2 forums somewhere that the tk and being tk/d by jumping off a quad is only cause when your going top speed as if in real life if you jumped off at that speed you wouldnt be in a good way

Lol. Yeah, I guess I mostly go top speed when I'm flying (it's either get hit by rockets right off, or vegimite your teammates ...tough call there).

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
