Hello Folks,
This past weekend I was kicked from your server (around 2:00 PM CST) Saturday or Sunday (sorry, played alot both days). Typically, the reason I get is the ol' "your spot was given to a VIP of the server". However, this time, the specific reason that was given said "Hack", that was it. My jaw hit the floor, and I was super irritated considering I was SVU sniping in jungle terrain and was not at all an amazing round (something like 12-2, pretty tame).
I have also been kicked numerous times from the server for "VIP" reasons....I thought originally this was the default message given when an admin joined, and it was random. The frequency this is happening, however, is leading me to believe otherwise and that I am being kicked for something else. I do not know the specifics on this case, so I will only suggest that perhaps if someone is to be kicked to make room for a VIP, it does not randomize the person, but takes either the highest ping, OR better yet it selects the lowest FR or contributor if you want to call it that. IF it takes the lowest point total, the person is either terrible, not doing anything but idleing, or just joined in which case they won't lose anything for being booted. A player playing on the server for four hours straight getting kicked just before the end of a 4k point round gets highly frustrated when this occurs.
Back to the original concern, here are some specifics about me:
I ping 16 to the server....speaks for itself
I have logged somewhere around 500 hours in the game and have over 15 platinum stars.....again, speaks for itself
I was a member of multiple teams in TWL Invitational Leagues NA for a number of years playing America's Army
I was a TWL Ladder and League Admin for Americas Army
As you can see, I am not a hack, and I certainly do not appreciate being called one. I can understand an admin having a bad day and perhaps being frustrated and just reacting to a bad round on their part, or a good round on mine, or both combined. Repeated kicks for this though will turn off decent/good players in the future and begin to take a toll on regular players to the server.
The server seems like a stand up place to play with not a whole lot of douchebaggery going on. I see some of the names I have played with and against on the forums here and they are pretty good competition. I will continue to give Cains Lair Server a chance and will likely log in there tonight for some stress release. At this time, I will consider the kick a mistake or a bad day and assume it will not happen again without solid irrefutible evidence to support the action taken.
