You know about modem cloning? Since you aren't in a developed country (yeh yeh i know), you might wanna try it out and see the speeds roar.

It's when you clone your modem and make multiples (I believe there are a crapload of tutorials online for each modem) that use the exact same MAC address. Which means your ISP will give you speeds to each of those cloned modems. Which in part, will get to some freaky T3 fiberoptics speeds. Do it if you're bored, u can always claim that you were drunk.

Thats good you have windows 7 because i got it and can walk you through to try to get it to work again.

First off I see a few problems with it already.

              1. Try disabling the built in firewall on your Modem....which is on picture 3 of your post. Try to Launch BFBC2 if it doesnt work no biggie just keep it off or turn it on, I keep mine off on mine because I have certain games that conflict with it.

              2. Numba 2 if the above doesnt work or even if it does your should still do this large step
Press the start menu button and in the search box type "cmd" open it
this will bring up a fake DOS screen which will make some things easier
in the command window type "ipconfig" it should list many things but i need the number that is next to "IPv4 Address" which is your ip address mine is xxx.xxx.1.5 which means mine is the 5th device attached to the router.

After figuring out what IP address is yours we will need to port forward your ports....which will give you alot better connection to the server, and EAs server to login. The page you need is picture number 7 in your post.

Now for the tricky part because i dont have the same modem/router as you but most are similar.

if you can type in an application name any will do here is what i did you need to do it for each one

tried to make this look neat but it didnt work

              First = Service Name
              First Number = Starting Port
              Second Number = End Port
Third Series of numbers should be YOUR ip address you found
and 4th is protocol, hope that helped
              • BFBC2 80 80 xxx.xxx.1.5 TCP
              • BFBC21 13505 13505 xxx.xxx.1.5 TCP
              • BFBC23 18800 18800 xxx.xxx.1.5 TCP
              • BFBC22 18805 18805 xxx.xxx.1.5 TCP
              • BFBC24 53 53 xxx.xxx.1.5 UDP
              • BFBC26 11000 11030 xxx.xxx.1.5 UDP
              • BFBC27 18805 18805 xxx.xxx.1.5 UDP
              • Ventrilo01 3784 3784 xxx.xxx.1.5 TCP

Getting the protocol right is a must so make sure you do it correctly
also ive noticed that you have a dynamic IP address which means each time you restart or shutdown your computer you need to check to see if your ip address matches the ones configured on this page. I dont know if your ISP "allows"/"shuts off" static ip addresses but if you want one here is a link
              http://www.tech-faq.com/how-to-set-a...n-windows.html
I also recommend anyone else reading this thread to forward there ports as well it makes a huge difference.

Now you need to allow your retarded useless Windows Firewall to allow these to be forwarded which means.

Start menu, Control Panel, bottom right corner = windows firewall, in the left pane advanced settings.

It should bring up a new window "Windows Awesomesauce with Advanced Security"
              1. Goto inbound rules
              2. in the right pane there should be "New Rule" option
              2 1/2. click it
              3. zomg new window.... select the Port option, click next
              4. you can add in all the TCP ports at once then repeat 1-3 and then put in all the UDP ports.
              5. click next....and allow always, click next again, make sure the 3 boxes are checked, next again and it should add them.

try all this then get back to me hope it works

Are you sure this is where the port forwarding area is.. this area is for creating a virtual server. Least that's what it says. If it is then take a look at the pic below. It has this drop down choice for the type of setup you're using/connecting to. I guess thats what it is. Take a look.

you should be able to leave that drop down box empty and type in the box next to it.....if not then there should be a page or something on your modem that says port forward/port triggering

Ok.. got em all open. even a few more that I had received from EA. But no joy.

You know, Medal of Honor won't connect either. I really think EA has done something to my account. It's like it isn't even there. I guess I'll try and get someone on the phone. Emails from India aint helpin much. Thanks though.

For the love of all that is holly do not leave this off. Certainly disable to test it but, I would never rely on a host based firewall(like windows firewall) to truly protect me. The reason I say this is it is trivial to write scripts to ping large blocks of ips and then to OS finger print them and then to automatically exploit the host. Granted it's not much of a big deal if your NATing but, I wouldn't chance it. To show what I'm talking about I run multiple web servers on a unix host in my home. I block google and other search engines from indexing all of my websites. All except my wifes wordpress blog. Here is a snippet of the access logs from that site

What you see is that someone has enumerated my wifes site from DNS records or google and they are trying to hack it. The phpMyAdmin stuff is an app that allows you to manage the sites back end database...Like to add a root account. This is the background noise of the internet.

Cobalt unfortunately different hardware vendors call the same thing differently . I believe creating a "virtual server" is what you want to do. Why they call it that is because now your allowing traffic in from the outside and you are now a "server". In reality your doing NAT in reverse. Normally NAT is used when you cannot route between networks. Certain IP addresses are non routable. Meaning if a router on the internet sees a packet from a certain IP (say anything 192.168.x.x) it will throw it out. To get around this your router will rewrite the packet to make it look like it came from its outside IP and sends it on and it saves some data so it knows where to send the response. When you define the Virtual Server your doing the same in reverse. i.e any packet that hit the routers outside IP on that port and protocol number send it on in to the internal host with the IP of blah.

in the command window type "ipconfig" it should list many things but i need the number that is next to "IPv4 Address" which is your ip address mine is xxx.xxx.1.5 which means mine is the 5th device attached to the router.

After figuring out what IP address is yours we will need to port forward your ports....which will give you alot better connection to the server, and EAs server to login.
Not to pick on you Psycho but, to clear up some things the IP address dosn't necessarily mean you have the 5th IP on that net. It just means your machine is currently configured with that IP. Depending on the router (if it's acting as the DHCP server) you could configure your router to always give your machine that IP. Look for somethining in the configuration of the router called "DHCP reservations". Basically you would run the ipconfig command and find the MAC address of the clients network card. Then in the DHCP reservation page you could tell your router that when ever a machine with blah mac address asks for an IP give it this one. Also defining port forwarding won't make your connection "better" per se but, it will prolly stop crappy routers from screwing up the NAT table.

You could of course turn off the DHCP server in the router (the server serving your internal lan not the client connecting to your ISP) and then just configure a static IP on the client and that would guarantee you allways get that IP when you boot your system. You would just need to configure your machine with IP, subnetmask, default router and DNS servers. in fact you could type ipconfig /all write all of those settings down. Turn off the DHCP server and then configure you client with those same exact settings and your done.
