Spawn Killing and Base rape in is out of control on the sever

I have to say I was disgusted by the amount of spawn killing on that sever by some member on this forum and other player on the sever I for 1 was spawned kill 10 times in row today.

So I for one will not be playing on the sever till its sort out which is a shame because on all the time and years I have played on cains severs but now this with this spawn killing and base rape in need to be short out.

It's not against the rules. What people do is their business. Learn how to kill spawn campers instead of going to server operators and try to get it banned/disallowed.

What really needs to occur is a nice team swap.... If a team is stuck in spawn... the balance of power is skewed.

I think that if there was a unique way to balance power after each map set, the game would be a lot more enjoyable.

I've been on a team stuck in their spawn on offense and defense cuz the skills weren't there to push the better team out.... and with no balance it does get truly boring stuck in spawn to take 2 steps and be shot down with no time to see where it's coming from etc.

Furthermore, the server gets cleaned out QUICKLY when the spawn camping happens.

I think a nice balance per map would fix this problem.

In my opinion if a team is able to push the enemy back and spawn kill them let them. Its a tactic to win the game even if it is frustrating it keeps the enemy back. Now if someone is sitting in a corner watching another corner and seeing the enemy appear a few feat infront of him that is a little different but i say go for it.

Don't we already have a system where the best squad from the winning team is switched to the other team at the end of the round? What are the circumstances that cause this to occur?

I don't know which squad gets changed but it only happens when teams are unbalanced numbers wise. I don't recall seeing it happen when teams were the same amount both sides.

As for the spawn killing it is lame, and should stop. There seems to be no sportsmanship at all with people these days

The issue is, if a team is good enough to force all defense team members into the spawn area, they are goanna "spawn camp" no matter what...

It's not like the offensive team will just run away and let the defensive team setup again.

And even if the offensive team let them spawn, they would still have a certain area on lockdown and kill the defenders slightly outside of spawn.

In a lot of other games I have played, there are nifty vote options for complete team scrambles and such.

O well, it is what it is...

I still say team shuffle\balance per map is the best way to go.

There is so much more satisfaction in winning with an epic fight and 5 tixx remaining... Instead of 80 tixx and a defensive team stuck in the back corners of the map only to get annoyed and leave the server.

spawn camping is annoying when the whole enemy team is doing it to your team eg you just joined a game and you have no idea whats going on but if there is one or two spawn campers it doesnt bother me i just rage kill them lol.... people will always do it even if there are rules they dont give a shit there is 6000 other servers they can go play on if they get banned from that one i see no point in a rule against base-rape even i do it sometimes ive been on plenty of servers where there are rules against it Mainly conquest dont see baserape rules on Rush barley ever but there is always base rape Always even when admins are in..... but yeah a balance would be cool

I know at lest 30+ sever on rush mode that enforce a kick and a temp band for spawn killing and base raping So its not just Conquest mode.

So is this a server option, or the server owner's police it?
We got switched mid round tonight, so we have something cooking possibly.

I'll admit that there are several Sniper exploits that can and do tend to propogate spawn killing.

We had a team that we got beat up on one round, but we just shrugged it off, changed some tactics, and beat them the next round. Sure, our scores sucked compared to theirs, but we WON.

First one here, we had our fair share of snipers as well.


Next game, we still got beat up abit, but didn't let it stop us from winning.

I'm not against spawn killing.

I am against it happening map after map after map.

I'm not against anyone who is spawn camping.

I am against watching the losing team become 3, 4, 5+ players short becuz it gets boring to be rendered helpless against a skilled team who pushed the weaker team back to the spawn and it happens no matter if the team is attack\defense.

I hope everyone can agree that the team scatter\shuffle is the correct solution, and furthermore, work towards achieving a more balanced game.

More balance in the game =

1) More challenge
2) Best way to improve skills
3) Requires more effort\teamwork
4) wouln't empty server
5) should make the overall community happier

You know I really do miss the BF2 and BF2142 Squad and overall commander setup that both those games had. IF that was still in place, then maybe it would help manage good offenses and good defenses in the game. I mean if there was an overall commander, then he could assign a squad to assault through to the spawn campers and help clear out the back area before pushing them forward. Oh well, it might not make a difference.
