I downloaded it and tried connecting. It says I was connected but there is nobody in it, so I can't be sure. Maybe later some folks will be in. I played a few round in server...was pretty full, had some fun games.

To change the announcement when people join/leave the channel got to settings/options/notifications/default text to speech..... here is a screenie.
