Is Vietnam BC2 worth it?

Saw we were playing this and decided to give it a spin for the $15 mod/game. In my opinion this is one of the best games we've had since BF2 and BF2142. Large well designed maps for the most part, love the conquest mode. Just great game play and weapons, like the older style weapons.

If you already have BC2 you have got to buy this for $15 and start playing TODAY!. Totally different than BC2 in good ways. If you don't have BC2 I would honestly say it is worth buying both of them for $35 at their current price on steam. It's a lot of fun.

And for you TF2 Guys, They have FLAMETHROWERS!!!!!!!! come on Obyi, you know you want too.

I was really on the fence on doing this game, but I am so glad I did. Just for you guys who are on the fence like I was.

Guys I can tell you I really enjoy this game. I just got it Saturday and have played ia quite a bit since then.

Lots of fun, lots of action, the sounds are great, a bullet whizzed by my head today that made me duck...

If you liked BF2 or BC2, come join us...

And @ Cain, yes the sounds are awesome in the game...explosions, rifles, blow away the sounds of Black Ops, as does the freedom of the larger maps.

What makes this thing better than vanilla BC2? If I'm even going to consider it, I'd have to KNOW it's better than that one. Do the guns actually seem to a) be accurate, and b) do damage? That's just one example of something I didn't like about BC2.

Sounds are good apart from the flame thrower. Like i said on vent that time, it sounds like a somebody blowing into their mic. lol.

Guns are very accurate imo. Even sniping with my ping is pretty easy.

I use the thompson a lot and it takes roughly 5-6 bullets to kill a moving target. This shouldn't be too many for anybody.

Guns are accurate. M1, M16 and PPsH are very good.

Start out with the PPSH, good weapon. Fast and accurate. Seems better than the M16 for some reason. And the AK can be frustrating too with the kick.

But you have to realize as you already know that BC hardcore is different than Cod4. It still takes a few rounds most of the time to kill someone. But the tank battles are top of the line. Chopper air to air is funny if you sit back and watch em go at it.

You owe it to yourself and the gang to come play anyway.

I'm still on the fence about it TBH. Vanilla BC2 was just such a crappy game from the dev standpoint (things not bing patched, the snipefest that was every map, VOIP STILL busted). Its hard to justify sending them more money for a sub-standard product. Might give it a bit of time still before i pull the proverbial trigger.
