Constantly dropping

Well I finally caved and bought Vietnam a few days ago (as some of you have probably seen). I never had a chance to play it at home while I was there on break, so my only playing has come from the comforts of my dorm. Sometimes I can play for several hours with no problems, and sometimes I can only play for a minute when I get disconnected with an error. It says something like "Connection to the game server has been lost. Please check your network connection." It gets really annoying after awhile!

I don't think it is anything on my end, as I have never had any problems gaming from my dorm. Anyone else having this issue?

P.S. - You have probably seen me on the TS server, but noticed I don't talk much. I do have a mic, but my roommate sleeps a lot (and at random times) so I have to be quiet.

Connection problems used to be more common, but patches fixed most of it. Rebooting the PC or manually installing the latest Punkbuster has fixed most of the rest. However, a PB update might not help a connection problem that randomly comes & goes.

I know this is a huge problem for many players that I see in the EA Forums.

It is more frequent on busy servers then if you were sitting in there all alone.

It is a packet dropping issue, and the more action, the more packets the more you may have a problem.

I'd encourage you to go to the EA Forums and read what others have done to help this problem.

Agh! Now I can't even join the server. When I click to join the server the same error message pops up.

I looked over at the Steam forums and the EA forums and neither have any good solutions.

I have had it happen twice. Restarting the game as fixed it for me. Others have had to reboot their computers.

Yep seems like a (seemingly) random occurrence. Was able to play for several hours tonight with no problems after that!

I don't have connection issues, except at the start.
Usually drops me at the first Join, but i'm good to go after that.

My Join time though, is laughably LONG. I have teammates trying to cap the 2nd flag while I'm still waiting to join.
Even had a fellow player offer to buy me a new computer, as they were tired of waiting on me to spawn.
