If I gift a copy of BC2 to my son will he be able to log on to my laptop and play a new charachter wothout re downloading the game.

Also int here an issue when playing from a single internet connection?

In regards to the single connection, yes. I believe you have to set his copy to communicate on another port. IIRC you edit the shortcut and force the port there, I had to do it for bf2. I think Minerva is having that issue currently.

As for the new install. it will share your copy with him, except the profiles (which it should keep in my docs).
BC2 is stored in the common folder in steamapps.
So i assume this true.
