    Dude, you're kidding me right?

This has happened since the first day I started running BC2.

I have tried everything imaginable on our end, and have asked, begged, bitched, complained and threatened our GSP. I have wasted probably hundreds of hours working on this problem. The answer from our GSP is always "All BC2 servers do this for unknown reasons"...

We have even changed server locations at least 5 times, moving to different machines, data centers, cities and so forth and it continues to happen.

I gave up trying to figure out how to fix this a while ago.

I am still suspicious that it is a GSP issue, but cannot prove it, and I have not run BC2 with any other GSP, so I have nothing else to compare it to.

I do believe if this did not happen to us constantly we would be a top 5 server.

Let's just hope BF3 does not do this.

I would say it might be heat related on the hardware outside, but it happened in the winter time too.

I know. We've suffered with it for a while. It's the main issue with the server whether it be BC2 or Vietnam and worse than crashing.

I'll take some time out this weekend to hunt any new info down.

                  Thank you !!

So far vanilla is much, much less prone to dumping everyone out, but that could also be that we are not in Dallas at the moment.

I'm just curious if other servers see this, and have they found ANYTHING to help prevent it???

Did any avenue of resolve show more promise than another? GSP? EA plasma? Pb? Game code? Server code?

                        Enquiring minds want to know.

I was tracing down a few bits of info that pointed towards procon plugins, specifically idle kick settings. But it didn't seem too conclusive.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
