Panama Canal - Autokill / base sniping zone

Would like to kindly request that the auto kill / base sniping zone on Panama Canal be expanded. Contrary to what some might think, this request is NOT to protect people spawning and leaving the base. Instead, I am tired of snipers on my own team sitting basically in the uncap and sniping, without contributing to the team efforts.

The areas of concern for the Russian side (north) is the cliff at the southeast edge of the uncap, before crossing the main road. Too many snipers holding a wack fest on the edge of that hill.

On the US side (southeast), the wooded area just west of the uncap produces the same result. There are various roads in the woods there, prior moving down and crossing the main roads. Similar bushwacking occurring in these woods.

I do enjoy Panama Canal, and the new rotations that have been cycling. Just trying to minimize the lazy ass / non-teamwork / k/d whoring going on.

auto-kill/base sniping zone? If you fire a shot from a sniper rifle in there you die? Or is this just for the opposite teams out of bounds?

I you shoot from the zone you die and if someone shoots you while in the zone then they die. It's helped with the base raping problem.

I don't hate snipers, mostly because Mini had developed a fond love for using C4. The thing that chaps my hide about them is when they don't take an active role in capping objectives.

Last night one guy kept dieing from this. I guess he could not figure out why he died when shooting into the spawn.

I'm with you.... Snipers are an integral part of the game.

Some of our best friends are snipers, and many of our Regs sniper from time to time, map to map.

the only map they were uncontrollable was that Laguna thingy, YIKES!! And with HC you can never figure out where they are.

Heck, I may give snipering a shot sometime.

All that having been said, when I have protected No Cap zones, it is unfair for them to sit inside those zones and sniper away.

There are a number of great snipers on the Lair that help the team immensely. Most of them spawn and move with their squad - providing cover, motion mines, and some mortar or C4 action. Many of them carry shotguns or assault rifles, instead of the bush wacking sniper rifles.

It doesn't take a wookie to use C4...the assault class can equip C4 as well.

Cobalt was forced to go Wookie yesterday.

Then i showed him my little trick to reach the enemy snipers...
I think i capped 5 before I tried to knife one and he turned around and blew a hole in my poor overworked Medic..

Yea, that guy killed me 8 times before I had enough. Killed him 3 times before you got to em up there. But I slowed him down enough that he had to rethink his camping from then on. I really didnt like doing that but because it takes up time from us getting objectives and he was just teeing off on us. I was forced to use drastic measures. Make no mistake, I can shoot a sniper rifle with the best of em. But I just choose not to.

And I agree Moose, not all the snipers are just sittin in the bushes 800m from the battle and never move. . Those arent the ones that bother me. It's the ones who never try and help the team. Just in it for the kills and nothing else. They dont give a crap about the game itself. Just want to shoot people and keep their precious K/D ratio up there. Makes me sick the way they play and never move.
