BFBC2 login problem today? Check this info.

This information is only relevant if you cannot login to play the game. If your login works, EA believes you don't need to change anything.
EA said, "We recently learned that hackers gained unauthorized access to the decade-old BioWare server system supporting the Neverwinter Nights forums.
    ...
In an abundance of caution, we have changed your password to ensure account security."

I couldn't login to BFBC2 this morning, and I've never used their Neverwinter Nights forums. Apparently they expanded their account hacking response.

If you need to reset your EA password, here's the link: https://www.ea.com/us/profile/forgot

After I reset my password, I was immediately able to login to BFBC2.

Thanks, Qicmee. Mine seems to work still, so I'll wait before changing anything.

Cain rebooted the server to fix the not-EA problems.

Well of all things. I found "the list" thats clean (and yes I scan it twice on a spare PC) I found Lulz list has my user name and hash data string from Battlefield hero's when I was beta testing the game. (didnt like the game anyway) I decipher the code from a online MD5 decrypter site and saw my password. Luckly the password was never connected to my BFBC2/BF2 account. No thanks to EA cause I never got a single Email. Thanks EA for making me change my password for no reason

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
