How many snipers??

Like I said in the past, I don't care too much about snipers. What I do care about is half your team becoming snipers just to sit at the spawn or go maybe 5 feet from the spawn just to snipe.

I find it funny that the only people that were complaining about the change were the snipers.

But if it didn't really change anything Apache, I don't see the point in trying to find a way to limit the class now haha

If we could get rid of the people that like to just run around and sit at the spawn, it'd be awesome. Snipers really need to get closer to the action if they're going to take a slot in the squad. That's all I've got to point out.

sorry niles ... i dont snipe ..much .. but i wasnt really for this but i did say it couldnt hurt to try but it needs to be made so you cant actually select the kit if all the sniper slots are taken up if a good, nice fun gamer comes in selects a recon kit and goes to take objectives then gets slayed for having a recon kit if it was me in another server i would leave and probably not go back... there is alot of heat on this subject... just remember its just a game lol and sometimes it cant be the way everyone wants it to be even when there is a Majority that want it to happen ha .... This is just an opinion so dont get defensive lol

Sad morning, what happened to trying? One day? And we were talking on ts last night(while trying to reconnect to ea) about how the plugin seemed like a good thing.

Still have not read a pro sniper argument that doesnt ignore what has been proven. I guess i could argue communism is a good thing too. (bit much I know. Lol)

Still believe it was for the greater good. I saw not one person complain last night, in my short time.

Cain, I reiterated not to panic yesterday, 3 snipers come in here and spew a bunch of stuff so that they can have their way. Unbelievable.

So let me get this straight, Tiger, Nate and Shultzy, (all snipers by the way) come in here and start mouthing off about being limited and we're supposed to just bend over and take it.

How bout I call bs on that one. One day..we run it one day and everyone panics. What is fun for them aint fun for me so what are we gonna do about that. Me and the majority of regular players been saying this since the game was first out. So are the MAJORITY supposed to just let them run over anybody and everybody so they can have their precious sniper class.

IT AINT TAKEN AWAY COMPLETELY . YOU CAN STILL PLAY IT. MAYBE JUST NOT THE WHOLE GAME. AND MAYBE NOT THE WAY YOU LIKE IT.

Personally I could care less if you got to play it ever again. Makes no difference to me. I loathe the class anyway. Why, because of most of the script kiddies that want to think they are elite by padding their stats.

We said in the beginning you would lose some people that only want to play sniper. But you didnt give it a chance to gain new players that appreciate being able to play the game without that distraction.

I'll say this one more time if those guys up there really like this server then they will continue to play. Even if one class they like is JUST LIMITED. If they leave then so be it. But if they like playing here then maybe they would think about others a little bit instead of selfishly trying to impose their only likes upon the rest of the group. If they like playin here then another class will work just fine if they cant happen to be snipers.

Completely agree with Furry. Even though I was on the 'losing' team, getting our clocks cleaned for several maps last night, at least MOST of the team was making a concerted effort to go take flags. It was MUCH more team oriented, as 1/2 or more of the team could NOT sit back a snipe with zero flags captured.

I was rarely killed by snipers, and had ample opportunity to get out of the uncap and work on taking flags. Teammates spawned on me and helped a ton. In the end, we still lost by large margins, but it wasn't because half the team turned into lazy bush humping snipers...

AND the server was FULL for the entire time I was on! Yep, some players bitched and moaned, but there were still 32+ players keeping the server busy!

Yeah... a terrible day at the Lair. Things were starting to look up.

Sucks that I was working and didn't even get a chance to play on what was probably the best day on the Lair in a long time.

Yea, I forgot to mention how nice it was. That Harvest day map, I only got sniped 2 times. Before that, I was like 1-9 before I even got to the next base.

Oh, and one other thing. You guys that been killed because you couldnt be sniper class, well how did that feel. Didnt feel good did it. Thats the same feeling we get when we get sniped by campers the whole game. The difference is you can choose to be another class and not die needlessly. We dont have that option when you have 6 snipers drawin beads on us the whole game.

I think we should try an "all recon all the time" server and see how that does.

All I have to add to this is to say that the worst experience is when you are getting your but kicked and your team is full of snipers who are not contributing to the fight so I tend to support the sniper limit.

Last night as mini and I were driving home from the marina I told him about the limit and he was surprisingly irate and said things like you would expect a 9 year old to say but in the end he played a few rounds and had a great time.

I see a huge problem with having someone's recon stolen while he's respwaning. If there was a plugin that states the recon limit inside the respawn screen and then let them keep it for as long as they want, I'd be up for it. I do think we should have kept it for just a tad bit longer. I mean server was full for quite a bit of time yesterday.

Heck yea man. Shows all kinds of goodies no one else ever sees. Gots animals too. It also points out lame players hidin across the maps behind the bushes. Gives total proximity of how far they havent moved and the like. I could name a few.
