Suggestion...

I notice several folks sit idle AFK in the TS3 server all day.

Remember the plugin starts dividing up players into teams when there are 6 or more on TS. If you sit there idle you may cause a small number of CLRs to be divided into separate channels.

My suggestion, don't sit in the Ts server AFK..

Hrm. I noticed that the segregation thing only happens if 6 people are in game, and it wont move the people who are not in the server.

Though, does that plugin handle different channels? I see that there is a lobby, then team channels, and a BF3 channel. Maybe a "AFK" channel if someone is idle for a period of time, or a chat channel so if there's only a couple of people playing, someone talking with someone else isn't bothering them?

Yeah 99% of the time I power down my machine. It's just that with my wife gone for a month I've left it on in the past few weeks

I didnt think it even payed attention to you if you were in the Lobby. I thought it only divided the guys that are in game.

This is no big deal guys...

The way the Plugin works is it looks at the total number of players connected to the TS3 server.

When that total number meets or exceeds 6, it starts dividing them up by Lobby, Team 1 and Team 2.

I could make it kick people not in-game, but that would create problems.

Ok, I am seeing that this is separating the people right now, and there is only 6 on right now, with 5 in game.

I also took a look at the plugin. It looks like the plugin uses a "Staging" channel for people who are coming in waiting to go into a game. I would guess then that if there were some other channels, they would not be effected? I guess what I am saying, is if there's only 4 people on, in the "Staged" channel, and say maybe 3 others in a separate channel - like the BF3 channel - they wont get separated? That would allow those in the non-staged channel to talk (non-BF2 related things) without the other four being separated if they are all cuttin up and having a good time with just the four of them.

Scratch that. There's a good 7-8 people in now, and the channels are not being split up.

Folks who are NOT in game can sit and talk to each other if they are not in our staging Channel "Lobby". As I recall they could sit in another channel, but I don't want to be creating a bunch of sub channels.

I have that one channel I use for my working on configs when I want to talk to one or two folks.... I cannot remember however if I can move myself or anyone else who is in-game into my pass-worded channel. BF3 Alpha..

We can check this over the next few days....

When you figure this plugin was coded by some kid, in his spare time, for fun, it really is amazing what it does. You would think EA could have done something half this good !!
