I don't use the Gustav that much anymore. but, the other night it seemed like most on the other team were using Gustavs. I switched to Engie and started giving it back to them. I must have gotten 10 kills in 5 minutes. There was less Gustaving after that.
I do not set out to use the Gustav as an anti personel weapon. but, if I have it out I'm not going to take the time to switch to another weapon when someone is trying to kill me.
I think limiting the Gustav will cause more complaints than limiting snipers. Tanks and Helis would have a decided advantage.

At the risk of sounding trollish/mad, the only reason people spam gustav is because apparently it's not easy enough to bring down an enemy with 2 well aimed bullets. It is very irritating to shoot someone for a miliseconds and then they turn back and gustav you (Sometimes from 3 feet away and stay alive). Sure, it is VERY ANNOYING to people who can play the game without using an ADVANTAGE but hey, if that's how you want to play- no problem. While I get better at this, you are behind a rock spamming gustavs. Simple as that. All you got to do is think "I'm better than him lol" every time you die by a gustav.
Also, is there a script to limit knife kills? Like if someone knives me can get banned for ever!

I feel the same exact way Apache. I don't mind other people using the gustav to be honest. It just makes it easier for me to find them haha. And definitely right on about not switching weapons when someone is trying to kill you. If I get the chance I'll switch, otherwise I'd be screwed. Especially if I've got a squad after me haha.
Gustavs don't annoy people, people annoy people. Remember that! rofl

Never minded much gettin killed by a CG. They are an effective way to root out someone holding a bldg. And with the maps we are running. It really is a necessity to some degree. Although nade launchers work too, Not everyone likes to run assault class. I know I dont. So CG is the next thing to take out a wall some guy has shot you from 3 times.
I think it just opens another can of worms. Snipers are one thing. Everyone knows the ones that only sit back and snipe are basically out for K/D ratio and looking good.
Eng. on the other hand a lot of times will at least step out in the street to shoot a CG and at that time are more vulnerable from gunfire. And they are in the mix. I cant tell you how many times I've died trying to do my job and kill armor or helo's. It comes with the territory and I dont complain too much. But that is an easy kill for someone.
So if you kill many tanks in one round it could lead to some problems that it wasnt intended to do.
It's a trade off. I know some guys dont like em. But I rather get hit by one of those than a guy hidin in a corner or on a rooftop and never leaving the whole game. Had one of those yesterday. On another note, I seen infantry only servers where vehicles werent allowed. And you couldnt use a CG on them. Labled them as overpowered weapons. And you had to change your kit. If you're carrying a CG for armor kills, you should upgrading. It can follow a tracer dart (AT4 cannot), but it's much better as an anti-infantry weapon.

RPG-7 . . . 360
CG . . . 280
M136 AT4 . . . 380
AT Mine . . . 865 ! (same as C4)
The explosives damage perk multiplies damage by 1.25x

I agree Qicmee. I used to use the RPG exclusively. But it became a problem with hitting choppers with it because it was just so slow. Same with tanks at a distance. But it did have more power. Some instances it made a difference specially if the pilot had flares. If you were quick enough to dart him right after he flared then speed was needed.
