Well. I tried to install the 1.3 GB patch, just to find out that it doesn't work at all. The buggy game tells me I already have a newer version installed....
I always knew that 1.00 was the best version of the game.

So, the thing needs the patch to 1.41 first.
After that install 1.50b2.
All fine now...
