Well I tried it out. That was by far the laggiest experience ive ever had in an online game. Unplayable for me.

I download it and have a error message when trying to install the maps... any idea?

Something about file corrupted but i already download it 2 times...

I already had ver. 1.0 installed so I didn't have to install any maps. I just ran the 1.0 to 2.0 update. The 1.0 maps (3 map packs) went into the Battlefield2/mods/bf2/levels folder. But AIX 2.0 has it's own folder in the mods folder.

Sometimes after I install a mod like this I will repatch the game to 1.4 if I have any trouble.

I don't get any lag except for some from slow servers with bad ping. Any lag in single player or local server mode?

Its not bad, you can drive and fly quite a few more planes etc.

As of 4:00PM PST there were 97 servers running AIX. 11 were populated. I've seen more online. If you like flying jets, this is the mod for you. I love the Harrier. The fire and forget Mavericks are deadly. They even turned the Blackhawk back into a killing machine. It's armed with large capacity rocket launchers and forward firing guns and renamed it the Battlehawk. The F-12 (inteceptor version of the SR-71) and Firefox are insanely fast. But some of the maps are infantry only. Push day map is sniper heaven. I'm not sure if it's worth dedicating a whole server to for more than just a chance to wack a few CLR's in a cool mod. I wish I had a server to run mods on a few years ago. I would have started my own BF2 boot camp with the USMC training map.
