Vista

After loading up a map and joining the server, I get kicked and a message comes up saying RESTRICTION: Inadequate O/S privileges.
I have tried several servers running different maps.
The computer is running Vista, and I can play single player with the stupid bots just fine, so the game runs.
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7100
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200 2.20 GHz
3GB RAM.
Not sure if that helps.

I don't have Vista so I can't help you too much, but are you running it with admin privileges?

I have vista but I've never gotten that message. Usually it's Punkbuster that's a problem.
Checklist:
1. Manual update with pbsetup.
2. Patch 1.4
3. Shutdown the comp for a hard boot.

If that dosn't do it, call back.

I got PBsetup and updated, already patched.
The update worked, in a way, now I just get the PnkBstrA.exe failed to communicate message.
I would be taking screenshots so you guys could see exactly what message I am getting, but when I paste them, they come up as a black screen.

I get the communication failure from time to time. So do alot of people I know. But that should only be a temporary glitch. Even if you have patched to 1.4 in the past, sometimes I have had to repatch after installing new maps or mods/addons. I have'nt got a clue as to why it will work fine for ages and suddenly one day it is nearly impossible to get on a server. I just keep banging away at it till it works. I've even gone so far as to scrap the entire installation and start from scratch. But eventually it will work. Don't forget to search the net for answers. Somewhere, someone else has had the same problems and they know the solution.

Thanks. I am used to it being PnkBstrB.exe that has problems, I have never had trouble with A before, but that was all on my rig.
