A rant, with a poll! Epic I'd say.

OK. I'm really aggravated with this, and was wondering if anyone shared in my misery.

I love playing on titan, but something pisses me off to no extent. When you jump, and particularly when you jump down into the top entrances of the titan, you can't shoot for 3-4 seconds. Sure it doesn't sound like much, but when some monkey is sitting there blasting away and you're like "umm.. ok.. start shooting whenever you're ready gun" it's pretty annoying.

Sure it can be abused (bunny hoping) but still, what's the point of having a drop point that can be easily camped by anyone with a pulse where you can't return fire at all? Seems like they set that one up to take an extra hour or two, or at least force silo based combat. Besides, it's not THAT hard to hit someone in the air, just lead em more

I voted no. The Titan vent drop is annoying (and shouldn't count as a jump, but hey, it's Dice wer're talking about here), but it's worth putting up with it to get rid of the bunny-hopping morons.

Plus, in all reality, if you dropped onto a hard steel floor from 10-12 feet in the air right in front of a waiting adversary, you wouldn't stand a chance.

Wasn't it a lesson learned from BF2 because players were doing that dolphin thing over and over and over again making them pretty much impossible to hit. I remember it being really lame.

Agreed. Keeps bunnyhopping from getting out of hand.

drop a claymore in the vent,
and dont post "but, the FF for claymore are..."
          cuz i already know that...
before everytime i drop down into the
vent, i place a claymore, it kills sum1 down there 90%
          of the time.

I voted no as well. I have had the same experience where I have been killed as I drop in the vent, but I would reather have that one problem then the bunny hopper boing boing action...

I usually will try and bounce a genade off the shaft wall if i am not recon, if I am recon the apm mine works as well, just it is usually a guy crouching or prone in the corner, so the apm often doesn't kill him until Im dead on the floor and he comes to get my kit. If it is a well defended hole i will try a different route.

                DATELINE - Verdun

It may be the year 2142, but you wouldn't know it to hear the gripes of our brave soldiers on the front lines of the new Cold War. One of the most common complaints is fractured shins, and a number of soldiers have lost their lives to this otherwise minor injury by breaking it in the wrong place at the wrong time. One troop we interviewed today claimed it made assaulting an enemy Titan, already one of the deadliest operations in modern warfare thanks to the ubiquitous use of the Strategically Placed Airborne Mauler grenade, or SPAM grenade for short, even more dangerous.

"Look, when you're all geared up it's hard enough to take on one of those big SOBs. But when the [expletive deleted] supply officer tells you we're STILL out of antigravity shinguards, I mean, that's just begging to die. Try dropping into a Titan vent and fracturing your shin RIGHT IN FRONT of a freaking paccie and tell me how YOU like it. It's like we're fighting in the [expletive deleted] Stone Age, fer chrissakes! Oh, um...hi Mom, and, um...HOOAH!"

We interviewed several soldiers and found this sentiment running rather strongly throughout the camp. One soldier bravely stepped up to visiting Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfield VII, with this statement, "Hey Rummy! What's next? We gonna take on the next Titan wave with sticks and stones?"

                The soldier was summarily shot.

In other news, soldiers on the EU front have reportedly been welding lamp posts and trees onto the rear armor of their tanks. As one hardened troop put it, "This stuff is freaking invincible! Pilum this!"

Sorry yall, but if someone is going at me with a LMG, I'm a bunny hopping fool!
I do agree that after dropping from anything that the delay is annoying, especially when someone is in front of you waiting for you to land.

I think they should just change the titan lay out. It stagnates too much. That or add stairs there. Or make it so missiles can get up there more easily. It's too much of an I.W.I.N. button.

Personally I think pirate ships would be cooler. And hey, everyone knows more pirates = less global warming.

If I have a guy/guys defending the vent, I'll go to the back platform and toss a gernade up into the vent area. Usually I'll get 1-2 people.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
