As some of you know, a small group of CLR's are competing in a tournament and arranged a private server to practice and compete on.
We could use some volunteers to help us in practice scrimmages. We would also like to give the community a chance to play some conquest games (Although note this is 16 player conquest using a MOD which is used in competition matches). The server will be open to all Cain's Lair members for you to get a feel for the maps and peculiarities of the Pro Mod.
We will need to close the server from time to time for practice and matches which usually start sometime between 8 and 9 pm (Eastern) and run for 1 to 2 hours. In the meantime, we will leave the server open from here forward, as long as the experience is a positive one or until we finish competing and close the server.

1. In order to play on this special server you will need to download and install a special mod for BF2142 called 2142Pro Mod. This is the mod used in competitions which allows a level playing field for all players regardless of rank and unlocks.

All you need to do is Install or unzip to the Battlefield 2142 game folder and then run BF2142Pro using the installed shortcut on your desktop.
This will not effect your regular BF2142 in anyway which will still be accessed via the normal 2142 shortcut.
Please do not expect technical support, although I am sure if you have questions our friends here will try to help you out. This is quite easy to set up but several players have had problems getting it to work and I can not guarantee that it will work for everyone. Sorry, that is the mod, not my fault.
2. This is a competition server for 8 players versus 8 players. That is right only 16 at a time. So only a few players can be on at one time. We will keep a list of interested players so you can be invited to future scrimmages with the tournament players. To make room for team members and/or practices and matches, you may be asked to leave the server and we would expect you to do so promptly.
3. This is a private server, but you are expected to follow all of the rules of conduct you follow here on Cain's Lair, as well as any specific instructions given regards to match play.
4. YOU WILL NEED A PASSWORD TO GET ON THE SERVER. Any CLR feel free to PM me and I will be happy to give you the password. Server space will be on a first come first server basis. Having a password does not guarantee you a reserved spot on the server.

5. There is no VOIP on this server, so text away.
