That answers part of the question, the other part was why didnt you own your own server and maintain it at your location. There again, i'm ignorant as to renting vs. owning one outright and all that it takes to get one going.

I do own my own server(s) but where they are currently located has less than optimal bandwidth.
Co-locating a server is VERY, very expensive(like a car payment) and more than I'm willing to pay...Comment
