As far as the gametypes, Headquarters seems to be the most fun for me. It truely requires team play and strategy. As long as you are attacking, you can respawn as soon as you die. If you have successfully captured the headquarters and are defending....if you die, you don't respawn until the round(not map) is over and a new headquarters is assigned....this prevents stalemates. You receive personal points for killing(obviously), capturing/destroying headquarters, calling airstrikes/helis, calling team radar and the team gets points based on the amount of time you defend the headquarters. Game is won based on team points not personal points.

As far as snipers go, you can snipe but there are no places to hide.....because when you die, you are shown a short video of the kill from the killer's perspective so you always know where he/she is at. Those videos also cut down on the number of people yelling "botter" because they can see their own head getting blown up because they leaned out too far.
That is a server side option that can and should be turned off though

That option is GREAT! Ive bragged about the death cam since beta. Its great for finding people. I usually skip it but if i did get headshoted in 1 kill its great to see where it came from.

Being able to see exactly what the person of killed you saw a few seconds before they killed you pwns! All fps should have this!

I like it in S&D mode but not in deathmatch or TDM, If someone finds a nice spot it ruins it, but it also helps to prevent glitching

I use it to learn my own weaknesses...but it's nice to find the pesky snipers.

I like the kill cam as well. On occasion i'm in a battle and get pwned by a guy that seemed to only shoot me once or twice. I look at the kill cam and see it was a totally different guy off to my side that actually killed me. Helps keep me from getting overly upset.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
