This video is from xbox live exclusive online beta (i didnt make it). But this will give people who have not played cod4 a chance to see how the hud looks as well as options and setting up a soldier.

Its a long video but gives a fair idea of game play and how different maps impact the play style.

Its utube quality so dont expect super high res but this will give people a idea of how cod4 is different than bf games. But this should give a good idea of the fun you can expect from the mp version of this game.

Is this the PC MP? It doesn't look very fast paced at all.

Its not ut fast paced. Its just faster than bf series. The maps are small so it doesnt take long to either kill someone or get killed. Also keep in mind this video was from xbox live and i dont know what the player counts are for the pc version.

There is no vehicles so you know maps are gonna be easy to move around in. There is spawn points all over the maps so people can come from anywhere.

Movement-wise it's not a whole lot faster than Battlefield. The maps are fairly small, however, so it plays a lot faster as it never takes more than a few seconds to get into a firefight.

This is my major gripe. I want to play something new, fresh. What makes this different than BF2 with a graphics upgrade? What makes it stand out from all other games?

I don't have the money to splash around at this time of year, so if i get any games, they need to be worth it.

What you can see in that video you posted Juneau, is that the feel and scenery are very realistic. Also instead of running on large barren maps in BF2 or 2142, there is a lot of urban house to house and room to room fighting on some of the maps.

Even with all the close fighting and the in building stuff I have yet to see significant frame loss either

Juneau, if you've ever played the first COD it's much like that. Like all FPS games, the action is there if the players are there. With a full server (32p)the game is chaos, some people call it spray and pray. COD4 isn't really anything new to gaming, but it does the familiar very well and that makes it easy for people to get into it and have fun.

I'll think about picking it up then. It won't be until i give my all in UT3 though.

I'd like to wait for the price to drop just a little before I buy, unless I find a deal. But I did play through the Demo, and I thought it was amazingly well created running at massive FPS's with great graphics. I loved how they moved that fast paced WWII beaches of normandy feel into the modern warfare. The weapons felt realistic, and ofcourse the AI was amazing. The AI's were scripted to do very stupid things sometimes, but on the other hand when they were stationary they used cover and utilized their weapons well.
Also I heard you can call in airstrikes with the heli's online which sounds cool if they do a lot to help.

The way it works is when you get three kills in a row you can call in a UAV

when you get 5 kills in a row you can call in an airstrike, etc....

5 kills is Chopper support and I think 7 is an airstrike, which if used well is deadly! Your total kill streak can carry over to the next round as can the perks!

3 is uav 5 is air strike and 7 is heli
