    9800 Pro, huh ???

I still have one in service in my wife's rig ... I am now tempted to buy this game and watch the slideshow on a 9800 Pro. Bet sniping would be a real treat !
Due to the serious interest in this game, I might hafta pick it up this or next weekend. I saw it on Steam, but it was cheaper to get it locally with some of the deals going on (just not buying it at Circuit City, for d@mn sure).

I may need to try this out on my laptop. UT3 doesn't' run well on it with the 6800 go GPU I am running.

Get a new case. No point is getting a substandard PSU just because Dell are doing what they do best. :P

I just want to upgrade my graphics card to the 512MB Nvidia Geofrce 8800GT, but that requires a new PSU. Might have to cut a hole in the case, or somhow take the switch off the PSU itself...

You won't and shouldn't be able to take the switch of the PSU.

isn't it just a switch though? they put they on somehow...just would have to make sure it is on the "on" position

Case mod time !! Dremel, tin snips, nibblers ... whatever it takes to .. ermmm .. create ... a hole in the back of the case.

This is turning into quite a lesson in how to plan for an upgrade, and the #1 lesson is build it yourself. OK, back on topic ...

A dremel will make a terrible mess inside of the case, so that means EVERYTHING must come out before proceeding. The other options can be done with a minimum of metal filings created, but none are safe enough to say go ahead and start hacking. ANY hole created with ANY device stands a chance of creating metal filings, and we know what that does to PC parts when powered up, now don't we ??

I wish I knew what to suggest here, but I'm at a loss as to how to most effectively do this.
