How does one obtain golds?

I got the game on xmas and I just got level 55 this morning and I got my gold deagle...... so how does one get other golds...? Like gold p90?

I think you have to complete every challenge associated with that gun.

Yeah I want a Gold P90 too !!

For example:

You must max out kills and headshots on ALL sniper rifles before you get
the gold.

I've been working on it, but it can be painful. In the assault tree, the
MP44 isn't very good, and you will get hammered until it is completed.

I have my fav weapons also, but having to use the others until they are
maxed in kills/headshots.

So my P90 is maxed out, so I don't get to use it again until everything is
completed.

I'm doing the exact same thing right now and as you said D&G it is very painful. Especially as headshots seem to be completely random. I've point blanked so many people in the head with my AK47, yet it still gives you a standard kill.

Complete all challenges in a class of weapons (Assault, SMG, LMG, Shotgun, Sniper) to unlock the gold weapon for that gun. There is only ONE gold weapon for each class. Druganov for sniper, Uzi for SMG, AK 47 for the assaultM60 for the LMG and I forget which shotty. You can also unlock the Gold Deagle for attaining lvl 55

I'm doing the AK now, too. I've about given up trying to aim each shot for the headshot - seems to make no difference. I do try when I've snuck up point blank behind them, but as you pointed out, the gun still misses sometimes.

Sniper is easiests if you know where to snipe in each map (except maybe vacant), except the sniper doesn't look too good (imo)
