Favorite weapon of each class

Just wondering what the favorite weapons of each class are. I haven't unlocked a lot of the weapons yet. Here are my favorites of what I have unlocked so far:

Assault: M4 - I have the burst fire on the M16. The AK is good, but I just seem to be more effective with the M4.

SMG: I don't really have one. Only have the MP5, Skorpion, and MiniUzi unlocked, and don't seem to do very well with any of them. Need to go back to these...

LMG: SAW - I thought the M60 would be awesome; slow fire rate, high power (I loved the PKM in BF2). For some reason, though, I'm not effective with it at all. Went back to the SAW, and I have done very well. I haven't used the RPD in a while. I need to try it again.

Shotty: Haven't unlocked the Auto yet, so Pump! I do enjoy this weapon, though, especially on Overgrown.

Sniper: None. I suck sniping. I have unlocked the Dragunov, but haven't tried it yet.

usp 9mm pistol, ( think its a 9mm, dont pay much attention to teh pistols, but an 18 shot clip seems to be more inline with a 9mm than a .45)

Assault: M16 with the G3 as a close second.
SMG: MP5 or Mini-Uzi (the P90 feels like cheating).
LMG: Any, really. I like all of them.
Shotgun: Any...not a big shotty user yet.
Sniper: Barrett .50

I'm mainly going for weapon challenges at the moment, so mine tend to be:

AK
no SMG yet
SAW (but I just finished headshot 3, so I'm back on M-60)
M-21
Pump shotty

I don't really care what my pistol is, but I either tend to use silenced 9mm, or golden deagle. I alternate AK with G3, and I'm about to finish it anyway and move back to M-16. I'm almost done with the sniper rifle too, so I'll play around with those until I find a fun one to use for awhile.

and the r700 for sniping

The M4 Carbine I think it is.
The MP5 - This is the king of guns with the right perks!
The M60 with double tap and red dot.
The Barrett .50 Cal
The auto shotty.

Rifles: M16 or G3 - M4 is too weak, and the AK is too inaccurate. G36 is decent, especially with stopping power, but its generally not as good of a choice as the M16 or G3 for most circumstances (though I sometimes like to use it just to be different).

SMG: I'm sorry, I HAVE to choose the P90 here. Call it cheating, call it cheap, call it the Noob90 if you want. When the enemy absolutely, positively has to die right now, there is only one choice. So much hate for arguably the best gun in the game.....makes me wonder if a nerf isn't in the P90's future

The MP5 ain't half bad either, though its recoil can get annoying at times.

LMG: RPD with the M60 as a close second (Red Dot or course). I used to hate the RPD until I learned how to use it, now I love it even more than the ubiquitous M60. And then there's the SAW.....one of my least favorite guns in the game. Damage is low, recoil is high, iron sights make me sad (for all the LMGs really).

Shotguns: Auto Shotty FTW. Would be the pump, but stupid ping hit detection issues means perfectly lined up shots can go unrewarded.

Sniper Rifles: R700 + Stopping power. Stops 90% in one shot, plus recoil is an order of magnitude less ridiculous than the .50 Cal.

Pistol: Desert Eagle. Deagle Deagle DEAGLE. Unless I'm going for stealth, there's just no other pistol to even consider.

Rifles: I would say G3 or M4, maybe the G36C

SMG: P90, MP5 isnt bad either.

LMG: RPD

Shotgun: The auto shotty

Sniper: Either the .50 or the one you unlock just before it.

iron sights make me sad (for all the LMGs really).

That made me remember why I have such a hard time with the M60! The iron sights on that thing are horrible! IMO the sight on the SAW is much better...

Assault: M16 with the M14 and G3 in close seconds

SMG: no doubt about it - P90

LMG: Usually the SAW since the M60 feels like cheating

Sniper: Remington 700 baby. Haven't unlocked the Barrett yet, but even when I do I might only use it for the achievements, as I tend to pick weapons and items in game that I would choose in real life.

Shotgun: Feels like cheating to me... might pick one of these up after I'm done playing with some of the other weapons.

Oh yeah pistols - I carry the Deagle out of sheer performance but I hate to do it - I'd pick the USP .45 in a heartbeat for a combat sidearm.


I thought the USP in the game was a .45.not a 9mm ::shrug::

Assault: M4. I wouldn't mind the m16, but I prefer single shot to burst and there's no select fire option I haven't really used the g's or the mp44...

SMG: P90...

LMG: After completing the challenges for all three I've decided I dislike them all equally.

Shotty: Either, I don't notice a huge difference....

Sniper: R700

I like the G36C with no attachments and no camo with m9 silenced, C4, stopping power, and steady aim uber kit aka BF2 spec ops kit lol
