Favorite weapon of each class

Pistol: M19; haven't unlocked DE yet
Assault Rifle: G36c; just unlocked and its replaces the G3 as my fav
SMG: AK-74u; others can't do squat at long ranges
LMG: The RPD is so good I hardly ever use any other weapon. Great ROF, good accuracy, amazing damage, 100-round clip, go-er... well normally I'm dead before I can get through my entire clip so it doesn't really matter much to me.

Oh and I like the M-21 as my fav sniper rifle, really low recoil = easy to correct misses.

Assault: G3 or the M14. Depends on the map/ playing style
SMG: MP5. I used the P90 for a little while, and i'm impartial too it.
LMG: RPD with red dot of course
Shotty: I always pick up an auto shotty if I see one, I don't use them that often
Snipe: Im a fan of the R700 or the Dragunov.

My weapon choice depends heavily on the map, though I can use the G3/M14 anywhere. They're my favs in this game.

Assault: I tend to like the M16. Great accuracy, Med-High damage. You
can usually kill with just one burst. Saves ammo.
M4-Spray and Pray, light on damage. Toy gun IMO.
Ak47- Abysmal, poor accuracy but good damage, short range.
M14- Slow ROF, but OK as a sniper rifle replacement. High damage. I have
been using this more lately, but it takes getting used to.
C36c- Does nothing great, and wouldn't use it except for the challenges.
MP44- It SUCKS.
G3- I'm not a fan, but many people like it. 1/3rd less damage than M14.

SMG: P90 FTW!!! Nothing else compares to it.
MP5- 3rd best SMG. Decent range, but with silencer, the range
is pitiful though.
Scorpion- Noisy cricket, not my choice. Bottom of the heap.
Uzi- Good gun, 2nd best SMG.

Shotty: I like them both, but lag has decimated my hits. Nothing more
than shooting first at 5 feet, only to have them turn and shoot
and kill you with 1 shot. Kill Cam shows you were off 1-2 feet. :P
But you KNOW you were dead on, but wind up dead instead.

Sniper: Maxed the Barrett. Just like that big honking gun.
But playing with Dragunov now. Good substitue for an assault gun,
duel purpose. High damage, good accuracy.
M21 has much less damage per bullet than the Dragunov.
The bolt actions are all good for plinking. Most accurate rifles.

LMG: I LOVE that big honking M60. Double tap if you want more quick kills.
RPD: Stuck between the SAAW and M60. Very good gun.
SAAW: Good for short-med range, it is a ripper, but not my fav.

Deagle FTW!!! But if you don't want to give your position away, use the
P9 with silencer. I've seen people kill with either one, where
the kill cam shows so far away that sights completely hid the target.

[Dead...Again]

I unlocked the G3 last night, and I love it. Good stopping power, very accurate. SIngle-shot doesn't really bother me. I think it is now my favorite Assault.

Assault- M4 with stopping power, very nice, most of my kills are with this weapon. Or M16 which I have found out is pretty deadly in its own right but not so good in close encounters of the combat kind, especially with those infernal hopping smg toads.

OPFOR assault custom class- G3 with stopping power= deadly, but takes getting used to, you have to lay back behind the fast movers and pop from a distance. I think it should also have full auto capability but with heavy recoil.

Demolitions- P90 with double tap, loads of fun on Crash and Crossfire.

Gunner- M60E3 with stopping power and deep impact= airstrike is on the way press 6 lol. You have to know how to use the M60 though, burst fire is much preferred as the "pig" tends to sway when blasting away on rapid fire.

Sniper- In every game I play when im a sniper I go for bolt action sniper rifles which means in CoD4 I use the R700 which is a very sweet gun to use.
